I have a twin sister. She’s my best friend and a few years into my “photography” hobby, she met the man we’d prayed for her to find our whole lives. Our good friend was shooting her engagement session, but I brought my camera just to “practice.” There I sat, behind the lens and watched my sister falling madly in love. Every insecurity, every doubt erased in the eyes of her new fiancé and yes y’all I was completely emotional. I snapped away without any real expectations. Later, I began to edit the gallery and was blown away. They were some of my favorite photos I’d ever taken. More importantly, when she received the finished gallery, she loved them too. I learned a valuable lesson that day, one that I’ve had the pleasure of relearning many times since then; from the heart is always better. I was trying so hard to be a “good photographer,” that I was missing the most important thing - the people in front of my lens. I promised myself and any future client, that I would maintain that focus and priority. Since that day, I’ve been so blessed to get to know so many clients and be a part of their favorite memories.
So if you’re new here, welcome. And if you’re already a client, welcome back friend.
Focusing on the people. The career, the money, the accolades… none of it matters without good people and good experiences.

Growing up in Southeast Texas, I was fortunate to experience the small town western way of life. As I got older, we were fortunate enough to travel and see new places. Each new place offered an exciting look into other cultures and people. Riding horses was also a way to connect and became a huge part of who I was. My horse was actually the first thing I wanted to take photos of when I got my first camera, a hand-me-down old Nikon, and still is where I go to practice with new gear or try new techniques. That old camera taught me so much about photography, but if I’m being honest, I never intended to do much with the thing. Often times the harder I chased being a “good photographer,” the less I liked my photos.

I started photography as a hobby, shooting mostly my animals. About 4 years ago, I started shooting brand photography focusing on business growth and marketing efforts in those partnerships. I did that pretty consistently, while slowly adding in friends and family for their life moments when I had the bandwidth. I’m so excited to open up more of my schedule to personal moments, as well as expand my brand relationships.
